In fact, I find that many of the items that affect my thinking most come from fields other than my own.

@Stephen - First, I think that bias is impossible to completely eliminate. The fact that you've considered it enhances your credibility.

Second, given that you've justified each of your "grades", I think you've done a good job in evaluating each of the predictions.Darren Draperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17578208859042859340noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1293651735518246988.post-49735762626358067592008-01-04T07:06:00.000-07:002008-01-04T07:06:00.000-07:00I did not even consider the question of whether th...I did not even consider the question of whether the people in question had blogs. And I know almost all of the pundits, whether or not they blog. So I don't think that would have influenced my scoring.

Regarding bias, my main concerns were (a) whether my own score was inappropriate, and (b) whether comments regarding e-learning 2.0 were graded fairly.Stephen Downeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06140591903467372209noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1293651735518246988.post-85841949585037000642008-01-03T21:29:00.000-07:002008-01-03T21:29:00.000-07:00IMHO, so called specialists have a narrow funnel o...IMHO, so called specialists have a narrow funnel of information they draw from. They have the same channels of data all of the time because they trust those "proven" streams. Bloggers, on the other hand, draw from a vast set of resources. I read two newspapers, but I have over two hundred feeds I draw from in my reader. Those feeds are diverse minds of varying ages, ethnicities, educational levels, and backgrounds. My opinion is not shaped by the few to share with the masses. It is shaped based on too many dimensions to narrow it down to a popular decision.Scott S.
